## The label governs

Where any page names a pesticide product class, the approved label of the specific product you have is the legally binding source for how it may be used — what it may be applied to, where, how much, and how often. Nothing on this site supersedes it, and we publish no application rates for exactly that reason.

## We do not diagnose

We do not and will not tell you whether a symptom was caused by a pesticide, whether a mark on your skin came from a particular insect, or whether an exposure was harmful.

**For a suspected poisoning, contact Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 or poison.org.** For a medical reaction, contact a medical professional. For a non-urgent pesticide question, the National Pesticide Information Center will speak with you directly.

## Legal questions vary by state

Pesticide regulation, applicator licensing, inspection requirements, and tenant protections are set by state and sometimes by county, and they change. Anything we publish that is jurisdiction-dependent carries a Jurisdiction Notice and a review date. Verify against your state's own source before acting.

Tenant law in particular: getting it wrong can cost someone their housing, which is why we do not publish per-state tenant law we have not verified against that state's source.
